Diabetes or diabetes mellitus is the most common metabolic disorder a doctor encounters during his professional career. More often than not diabetes is associated with obesity. Diabetes is characterized by abnormal carbohydrate and lipid homeostasis leading to high level of plasma glucose or hyperglycaemia and  abnormality  of serum lipids or dyslipidaemia.

Apart from the pulp of the fruit, extracts from the bark and seeds is of great benefit when it comes to lowering of blood glucose level. Taking dried extract of the seeds orally, greatly reduces the blood sugar and glucosuria.

2. Fenugreek (Methi)

Fenugreek (Methi) seeds are widely used in Indian kitchens as a spice. It has a bitter taste and is strongly aromatic. It is one of the best home remedies for diabetes. Fenugreek contains vitamin c, potassium, niacin, protein, fibre and iron. A compound called diosgenin present in fenugreek is very beneficial for female health as it has oestrogen like properties. Fenugreek helps to reduce Low Density Lipoporteins (LDL). It acts like a charm in treatment of diabetes. Galactomman, a soluble fibre present in fenugreek slows down the sugar absorption rate in blood. Apart from that it contains amino acid needed for the synthesis of insulin in the body.

3. Bitter gourd

Bitter gourd (known as Karela in India) is one of the best natural herbal remedies for diabetes. It contains a compound called charantin which helps to keep the level of blood glucose on the lower side. It also increases the sensitivity of insulin hormone.

4. Olive Oil

Olive oil is extracted from the fruit of Olea Europaea (Olive tree). Olive oil contains Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFAs) which is a healthy fat compared to saturated fats and trans fats. Intake of foods prepared with olive oil hugely reduces the risk of heart diseases. It helps to reduce Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) and enhances insulin sensitivity. Thus olive oil proves to be one of the best natural treatment for diabetes.

    is not surprising or latest medical development. This had been there for a long time even before health science has started growing.
    This had been here all through these times and has been taken by
    people who had access to it. Even the science experts
    who are credited for growing health science to it’s advacement knew about it but some vested intrests and revenue issue made them neglect this and in place
    of they focused on their stuff which they proclaimed to be latest discoveries.
